Is located less than 300 miles from Fort Lauderdale Florida and a short 145 miles from Nassau.

Starting around 45 miles from Florida, they stretch close to 700 miles, almost to Haiti.
The waters are warm, with a range of colors from the palest translucent green to a deep blue.
Yachts with a draft of more than 5 feet may not be able to access some of the shallowest channels.

.Avoiding Nassau on New Providence Island, and West End and Freeport on Grand Bahama Island is recommended if you want to find the true out island spirit, although if approaching from Miami or Fort Lauderdale these marinas are hard to avoid as they are the most common the ports of entry when arriving from the USA, especially Florida.
